The museum welcomes students to apply for an internship with the museum. Interns are expected to identify and complete a project that meets both academic and museum goals, assist with education and outreach, and assist with museum special events (STEM Day, Nuclear Science Week, Movie Under the Wings, Nuclear After Dark, Einstein Gala, etc.)
A general museum internship is available that introduces students to the different aspects of this museum on a rotation schedule. This type of internship is great for students still in search of a career path, looking to switch careers, or have a general curiosity and interest in working in a museum setting.
All museum interns are expected to commit at least to 12 weeks of full or part-time participation at the museum; hours vary based on student availability and museum needs.
