The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History’s Einstein Express Program offers field trip busing assistance to Title 1 public schools in Albuquerque and the surrounding area. Nuclear Science Week is an observance of all things nuclear. It will be celebrated from October 20 to 24, 2025, worldwide!
The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History will welcome students in grades 6-12 to participate in nuclear, radiation, and energy-related activities. These activities will be led by museum educators and volunteers, many of whom have had careers in nuclear science and engineering. Activity lessons meet state and national standards related to nuclear energy, atomic structure, and the politics and history of nuclear weapons.
The museum's team and community volunteers will host a local Nuclear Science Week celebration that ties into the international Nuclear Science Week. It will be a free week of programming for local area schools, allowing students to see how Nuclear Science can be a part of their lives and offering educators a way to integrate Nuclear Science activities into the classroom seamlessly.
Field trips during this time include free busing and admission for accepted groups, thanks to the generous support of our donors. To inquire about these opportunities, please contact Linda Anderson, Education Enrichment Coordinator, landerson@nuclearmuseum.org
