Movie Under the Wings: Raiders of the Lost Ark

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History will host a special screening of the 1981 action-adventure classic film Raiders of the Lost Ark on Saturday, August 10, in Heritage Park, the museum’s outdoor exhibit area. Doors will open at 7:00 pm, and the movie will begin at dark.

Guests will watch the iconic adventure film against a backdrop of historic planes, like the B-29 Superfortress, a B-47 Stratojet, and many more, creating a one-of-a-kind family-friendly atmosphere. Before the movie begins, guests can enjoy a live DJ. Local food and beverage trucks will be on-site, offering various delicious food options and beverages for purchase. Visitors will have an opportunity to tour the museum before the movie starts.

Attendees are encouraged to channel their inner adventurer, come dressed as a character from the movie, and impress for a chance to win museum prizes.

Guests are asked to bring outdoor chairs to ensure a comfortable viewing experience. Please note that dogs, except service dogs, must be left at home.

Movie Under the Wings is included with paid museum admission. Museum memberships and other passes are not permitted because this is a special fundraising event for restoring artifacts in Heritage Park. Movie Under the Wings admission may be purchased online before the event or at the door.
